Name of the Post : Chargeman (Group 'B' Non-Gazetted, Non-Industrial)

 

Total Vacancies: 121

Pay Scale :₹ 35400 - 81200 in level 6 (corresponding to Sixth CPC scale of ₹ 9300 -34800 (PB-II) Grade Pay 4200/-)


Indian Navy invites application for the post of Chargeman (Erstwhile Chargeman II) classified as Group 'B', Non-Industrial, Non-Gazetted from eligible Indian citizens to apply online for the various trades of Chargeman in Naval Ship Repair Yard (Karwar), Naval Dockyard (Mumbai) and all other outlying units of Western Naval Command. Eligible candidates apply within 21 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News Paper (dated 24th - 30th December 2016 Issue).


Discipline wise Vacancies: Engineering - 33, Electrical - 14, Weapon - 08, Construction - 24, Maintenance - 10, Production, Planning & Control - 32.


Note:

(a) Engineering Discipline includes trades of Foundry, Engine Fitter, Ref & AC fitter, ICE fitter, Machinist, Pipe Fitter. 

(b) Electrical Discipline includes trades of Electrical / Power. 

(c) Weapon Discipline includes Electronic Fitter, Instrument Fitter, Radio Fitter, Weapon Fitter. 

(c) Construction Discipline includes trades of Painter, Plater, Rigger, Ship Fitter, Shipwright, Lagger, Welder. 

(d) Maintenance Discipline includes trades of Civil Work, ICE Fitter(Crane), Mill Wright Fitter. 

(e) Production, Planning & Control Discipline - no feeder grade, any discipline can apply.


Educational Qualifications:

(a) Degree in Science with Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics from a recognized University (OR) 

(b) A Diploma in Engineering in the appropriate discipline from a recognized University or Board.


Selection Process: Written Examination

Scheme of Written Exam: All eligible candidates will appear in the written examination (Discipline wise, probably on same day) consisting of 100 objective type questions based on syllabus of Degree in Science (Physics/ Chemistry/ Maths) / Diploma in Engineering/ Management/ Supervisory Skills/ General Knowledge /General English (Matric level). The question paper will be provided in English and Hindi languages only. Selection of candidates will be purely based on the performance in the Written Test and the Merit list drawn Discipline-wise thereof.


How to Apply: Eligible Candidates are required to apply online through Naval Dockyard Mumbai (Jobsuchi Recruitment Portal). The Online registration of applications on the third day of publication in Employment News Paper dated 24th to 30th December 2016 Issue. The last date of registration is 21 Days after the last date of publication in Employment News (i.e. Last date may be 16/01/2017).
